Fine Art Printing

I have been working with digital reproduction since 1985 when I began my career in the pre press arts. From digital halftone film plotters to the first Iris printers to today’s inkjet technology, I continue to stay abreast of the trends and techniques used to reproduce art as faithfully and creatively as technology allows.

 

I use an Epson wide format printers for all of the fine art archival printing. These machines print on virtually any kind of paper or canvas and can print as wide as 44” and as long as 6 feet or more depending on resolution limitations. Printing on fabric is possible as well.

 

I use a flatbed scanner with the ability to scan transparencies and a Canon 7D for image capture of original artwork.

Use the following as a guide to estimate the cost of your project.

I charge by the square inch for inkjet (giclée) printing. The cost is the same whether we´ll be printing on paper or canvas

 

1-4 prints of the same image - 10.5 cents per square inch.

5 or more prints of the same image - 7 cents per square inch.

 

For example, one 16"x20" print would be 320 square inches @ 10.5 cents per sq. in., which equals $33.60. Ten 16x20´s would be $22.40 each for a total of $224.00.

 

I also have proofing papers that are less expensive and may be useful for your project if longevity is not a requirement.
